Accessibility Statement
The Smith Foundation is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We aim to make our website as accessible and usable as possible and to comply with recognised accessibility standards.
Our Commitment
We aim to meet the accessibility requirements outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, at level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for everyone, including people with impairments to vision, hearing, mobility and cognition.
What We’re Doing
We are continually working to improve the accessibility of our website by:
- Using clear and consistent navigation across pages
- Ensuring content is structured with proper heading levels
- Providing alternative text for images
- Making sure colour contrast meets recommended standards
- Testing content for screen reader compatibility
Known Limitations
While we strive to make all pages accessible, we are aware of some limitations:
- PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen reader software
- Some older content may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards
We are working to review and update such content as part of an ongoing improvement process.
